Follow-Up with prospecting

Follow-up is extremely important when you prospect. There are times you may first contact a prospect and it may not be the right time for the prospect to join. Follow-up shows the prospect you care and you are still thinking about them.

If you follow-up with them once they experience a challenge they will know how to contact you. Follow-up is done by both email and by contacting the prospect. It is always better to call the prospect and if you can't reach them email them.

There are occasions your company may have something new. A good time to follow-up with a prospect is when your company adds something new.

How to improve with prospecting...

Would you like to learn how to improve with prospecting? Many people are wondering what magical word or words they can say to get someone interested in what they have to offer.

There aren’t any magical words to get someone sponsored into your Network Marketing Business. What prospects really want is someone to listen to what they have to say. If you listen to a prospect you can identify if you have resources available for them.

As you identify if they qualify for any of your resources, they need to have a genuine interest and a deep desire. You can’t be creative in these two areas. The prospect must want to talk and have a deep desire for a change in their lives. What you have to recognize are you the person that can help them fix, avoid or change something in their life?

If a person doesn’t have a genuine interest or a deep desire they don’t want to talk to you then it is best to politely identify if they want to be taken off the list or if they would like email sent to them so they can contact you on a later date if they change their mind. If they ask to be deleted it is ok.

It leaves you room to contact those people that do have a deep desire or a genuine interest. If the prospect has a deep desire and genuine interest the next step is to listen to them and find out if you have anything you can point them to so they can succeed in a home base business of their choice.

If you point them to something it must be something they are interested in. The prospect talks most of the time you listen and at the end point them to information that will give them information to help them make an educated decision. So they can build their business by design rather than by chance.

What Is Considered Spamming?

Many people are afraid of sales people. It is very reasonable how many people out there sells with hype, scams and false promises?

Some sales people may mail you something that you didn't request and charge you in 90 days if you don't contact them to cancel it. Did you request the information? If you requested the information to try something out that isn't considered spamming. How about if you never requested the information?

If you haven't requested the information or product and it is sent to you anyways that is considered spamming. Spamming is illegal and you can get a huge fine for spamming.

In order to avoid spamming an individual they need to request the information first. If a person requests information then you can send them information on what they requested. As soon as they ask to be deleted off you data base they need to be deleted.

There are so many leads out there that are interested in the information it is best to work with them. There is no reason to send information or talk to someone about a product or business if they aren't interested. It can waste the time you do have to work with the people that are interested.

What is Hype?

Listening to prospects

One of the biggest mistakes marketers make is they don’t listen to their prospects. It is essential to listen to prospects. We have to be on the same page with them. Just because we get an answer from the prospect doesn’t mean they qualify for our business. We need to find out if the prospect has something they want to fix, avoid or accomplish in their life and do they have a real deep desire to change their situation.

If they don’t have that deep desire then maybe Network Marketing isn’t for them. Maybe they just need to find a better job or maybe they need to take a vacation. The only way you know this is by really listening to the prospects.

Listening to the prospects not only comes by what they say it is how they say things and we also have to listen to what is not said. Once we listen and clarify what the prospects wants and we know we are on the same page with them, we can go identify if we can be a service to them.

How do we identify a prospect.

If we want to minimize our competition we need to always remain professional as we do our business. It isn't what we want it is what the prospect wants and it is what the prospect has to work with in building a business by design rather than by chance.

We have to gather enough information to identify if we have any resources that can benefit the prospect. If we don't we should politely share that with the prospect. If we go to the doctor if he is a professional he will gather enough information to find out if he is the doctor to help correct our ailment. If he isn't then a good doctor would recommend a specialist.

The same applies with our business. Not everyone is looking to start a Network Marketing Business. Some people want to make money from home working for someone else. If that is the case it is ok, because that is what makes our world so wonderful we are all different.

The biggest mistake marketers do while they are prospecting is they want to convince a prospect why their product or business is something they should join. A good marketer doesn't have to convince. They gather enough information to be part of the prospects solution and not another part of their problem.

Working on the process or perfectionism

We join a Network Marketing Business, if we never make the calls because we want it to be perfect that is Perfectionism. If we want to sponsor five or more people a month and we don't do it and decide to stop dialing that is perfectionism.

Working on the process means you make your dials and if you get one person in and you learn a lot you should celebrate. If you don't get anyone in that month, yet you learn a great deal of information I feel you should recognize what you gained that month.

You always must do your best to keep improving your skills.So should we look at the process and be happy with our accomplishments and always strive to a new level of achievment with anything we have to do with our business and/or anything we have to accomplish in life?

Or should we say we aren't sponsoring five or more people a month and decide to leave our Network Marketing business?

My answers is it is all in our tracking. We need to look at the process and find out what is working and what isn't working and improve what isn't working.

What I have noticed this past week is many people want to get rich quick or want magic to happen. They want it to happen now. They don't realize everything in life takes a skill and applying effective action to get where you want to go with your business or with life.

We all have challenges we don't want to just stop living because we have a challenge. We have to look at what we do have control over and do our best to learn and improve everything we have to accomplish.

There is a process to achieving your goals.

Many people have goals. How many people accomplish their goals? When it comes to building your own Network Marketing Home-Base Business 97% of the people fail in succeeding and never consistently earn a profit. When they join the business they have a goal to succeed and get into a profit margin as soon as possible.

Unfortunately, many people don't see the income they would like the first few months they join. Many people want to earn anywhere from $500 to $10,000 a month within 90 days. Is it possible? Yes, it is possible however; it will take a lot of effort and skill.

Everyone has a different learning curve. It takes effective action over time to get into a consistent net profit. Since people have different learning curves we really have to look at our process. How do we look at our process? We need to keep track of our progress.

We all have goals. Do we all have goals written down? Do we all set a deadline to reach our goals? If your answers are No, then you should start today with writing down your goals and setting a deadline, if you are serious in accomplishing your goals. We may not reach the deadline however, we can readjust our goals and see the progress we have made and set another deadline to reach the goal. 3 simple reasons why people fail in network marketing

I was listening to a Leaders Club network marketing training course the other day called, "How To Communicate The Benefits of Your Offer" and the host Andre Vatke, made a great point as to why people fail in network marketing.He said there are basically 3 categories that 97% of people fall into.

That's kind of a sad statistic but one that Leaders Club has been helping people beat for a really long time.The 3 reason why people fail are...

1) Apathy. When you think about it this really makes sense. As much as we want to build a business if go into it with a lottery mindset we won't have much to get us to move us to do the things a business needs to survive. Unless you are set and committed to making a change in your life you will eventually go back to whatever you are used to doing - which probably isn't building a network marketing business.

2) Fear. For a lot of people it can be scary talking to prospects. And there is a lot to be afraid of in business too. You have to risk your hard earned money on marketing, ads, leads, materials, websites and all kinds of stuff that you just don't know for sure will pay off. It's understandable - yet necessary - to freeze up in this situation and do nothing.

3) Not knowing what you are doing. aka knowledge Andre said that there is an even more dangerous cousin to this one called "Not knowing what you are doing yet believing that you do know what your are doing!" If you can't explain the features of your product or service and if you can't communicate the benefits of your offer your marketing will fail. There's no chance of attraction in fact it will be like to same poles of a magnet repulsing each other.

Understanding 'benefits' and knowing how to communicate them will help me in all my marketing, from talking with prospects to lead generation to even this blog. This is a good question. There are two important things you would want to consider before you decide to generate your own leads. Generating your leads can be expensive and you will want to know the skills to be most effective with your lead generation.

First, generating your own leads can be expensive. You want to make sure you have it in your marketing budget before you decide to generate your own leads. You also want to be sure that you don't go over that budget because it is easy to do with the online advertisements with generating your own leads.

Communicating is an important skill to move forward in your business.

Communication is an important skill to learn in order to move forward in any business. In order to make a net profit you need to have customers that find your service or product is important for them to purchase. How do you share your service is the best service for them. Momentum with Network Marketing

In order to move forward with our business we need to have a positive momentum to contact prospects on a daily basis. We contact prospects and we can get a lot of responses from the prospects and sometimes we aren't able to reach the prospect.

There are three steps in order to keep our positive momentum. The first step we need to know is our objective for dialing the prospects. Our objective should always be the same recruit business builders that will recruit business builders. The second step is primary want; we always need to keep our primary want in the forefront when we contact prospects to keep us moving forward with our business. Finally the third step is attitude. We need to keep control over our attitude as we prospect.

Attitude is the big one because prospects can pick up on our attitudes. There are many ways the call can go as we prospect.

First way is we can a voice message. If we get a voice message we leave a voice message and leave our names and telephone numbers and talk very slowly and politely and always follow-up with an email.

The second way we reach a prospect is by a gatekeeper. The gatekeeper wants to ask us questions before we reach the prospect. We always want to be polite to the gatekeeper, however keep the prospects privacy.

Another way is by a greeter. A greeter is great because they are answering the phone however; never expect them to give a message. If you have a greeter and you are polite to them they will give you some information on the prospect. You don’t want to drill them though and write the information on your notes and leave the prospect a message after you spoke with the greeter.

Finally you may speak to a surrogate or a proxy. A Surrogate or Proxy can be the person that is going to help invest in the prospects business. They aren’t doing the business however; they are putting down the money so the prospect can earn a Return on Investment sooner then later. Many surrogates and/or proxies are the prospects spouses. We always want to be polite to them and we want to send an email right after leaving a message. Once we contact the prospect we may want to do bring the proxy or surrogate in so they can have the information to make a good decision with their investment.

It doesn’t matter who we speak with we need to always remain professional and in control over the conversation. We need to have a good attitude. If we reach the prospect themselves sometimes they are hesitant and that is ok. We want to reassure them that we are on their side and calling them because they requested information in starting and/or building a profitable home-base business.

If the prospect is rude then we can make a decision whether we want to work with them or not. It may be easier to delete them from our data base if they are too rude. We need to keep our momentum and quickly dial the next call. If we spend too much time with the prospects that are negative we may stop dialing because we lose our momentum and never move forward with our business.

As we dial prospects we always have to go by what we do know. We do know they requested the information and we do know our objective, primary want and our attitude. As we speak with the prospect we have to go by what we do know not by what we don’t know. It is ok to ask someone how you know what your saying is true. However, you don’t want to get side tracked and lose what you do know.

Where should I go to get my leads?

Where should I get my leads? That is a question many of us have as we start prospecting by the phone. There are many lead generation companies and how do you know which one to go so you can get the best results for your business.

The best lead is a lead that you have contacted and turned that Cold Lead into a Hot Prospect. How do you do turn a Cold Lead into Hot Prospect? In order to do this it takes a skill. We have to know who is are target market. Once we know who are target market is we have to know how to reach that market so we can be a blessing to them and not a curse.

People will respect you more if you really listen to what the prospect has to share with you. They know if you are listening if you clarify what they are sharing with you. Once you really understand where the prospect is coming from then you can see if you have a resource that can be a solution to their problem. If we don't it is best to share it with the prospect.

We need to end each call with a final close. We need to know if it is a permentant disqualification or a temporary disqualification. Qualification is does the prospect have a geniune interest, deep desire time and or money. We need to spend our time with the people who really want and need the resources and is willing to do their part to receive the information.

Making a business decision...

It is scary to start a new business. It is scary to sometimes make a decision that is not the main stream public's view points.

What is the fear come from? The fear comes because we want to be accepted. Everyone wants to feel important. If you are making a decision against the norm people will want to debate you on your decision.

The best way to make a decision is by making an educated decision. It doesn't matter if it is a business decision or a personal decision. You have to go by what you do know and it is OK to ask the other person how do you know what your saying is true. You go based on what you do know from your tracking and from your history. Outside of your tracking and history we always have to make decisions from reading and other people's perspective.

We have to be careful with this because other people's perspective can be tainted by the media and influenced through emotions. We need to do are research by going to the library, seeing what the pros and cons are with doing something and not doing something. The best way to do this is by looking at your present state and how can it effect your future.

We really need to educate ourselves on our business decisions and our investment decisions. We do know that a job isn't necessarily secure. How do we know this because there are many people who get laid off from their jobs on a daily basis. There family is very hurt because of it.

They always say the best time to look for a job is when you already have a job. The best time to look for a business is when you have the money to invest in a business. If you spend money you don't have it will hurt you in the long run and you will be in a worse situation then you were before.

When we make investments we have to look at what we have now to invest. We shouldn't do any gambling because that is by luck and it isn't building a business or investing by design.

A person doesn't realize the time it involves to build a business. If you don't set the time to build your business it will never mover forward. You can't expect anyone else to build it for you.

Network Marketing can help you call your own shots down the road...

The nice part about Network Marketing is it can allow you to call your own shots down the road. If you are sick or if you want to spend the time with your family you have the opportunity to do so if you own your own Network Marketing Business. We need to treat our business as a job however we also need to be merciful to ourselves as well. We need to work on a mutually beneficial and a mutually accountable relationship.

We can be able to call are own shots down the road, however there are many puzzle pieces to put together before you can make this your full time job. You really need to start with baby steps. Fear in taking the effective action

"The Lord is my Light my help my salvation why should I fear with God. I fear no one God protects me all my life with the Lord what should I dread."

God is there and he will help us if we are doing his work. How do we know we are doing something that God wants us to do? It holds a balance and it has a mutually beneficial and accountable relationship. Many times we can procrastinate in taking the effective action which will help us succeed in our Network Marketing business. The first action we must do is contact new prospects each and every day. It can be very fearful contacting someone you don't know. Questions that will probably pop in your head are will they hang up on me? Will I say the right thing? Will I get tongue tied? Will I forget what I have to say?

These are very common fears. The most leading fear and the main reason people don't contact prospects is because they are afraid of rejection. What people don't realize is that the most number one fear of a prospect is to answer the phone and talk to you and the most number one fear of the person who is calling is talking to the prospect.

Once you know this it can help you with your fear. We all have the same fear. In order to see success in our business we need to make the call. The worse thing that can happen is the prospect will hang up on us. If we say a quick prayer before the call that can help us relax. The true answer is learning who to talk to and what to say to the prospects. God is there to help us we need to take the correct actions. The best way to learn is learn by trail and error and learn what not to do. You can do this by yourself and it can take years to build a solid foundation to your business. However, there are many companies and coaches out there to help us become leaders.

God wanted us to catch fish. What kind of fish? It depends on you. If you are a true disciple of the Lord you will know your calling of whether you need to catch fish or people. God has sent me to my business to help people become effective Leaders so they can catch people as well. It can take years to learn the information.
